Initiatives to Reduce Environmental Impact

ARKRAY Industry West, Inc., our production site in the Philippines, is working to not only improve its productivity and the quality of its products, but also raise the environmental value of its production processes (i.e. reduce its environmental impact).

Major initiatives include a shift toward sourcing parts from domestic manufacturers to reduce CO2 emissions from transportation, and the introduction of returnable boxes for clients based in the Philippines who receive daily deliveries, which has proved effective in reducing packaging waste.

The site has also introduced new equipment to streamline four production lines into one, successfully halving the electricity consumed per product.

This has led to an improvement in production efficiency, which has in turn reduced electricity consumption by about 1,850 MWh (roughly 900 tons of CO2) per year.
